Lanterns of all sizes, shapes, and colors are found throughout Japan. They are pretty cool to photograph. This is a collection of Japanese Lanterns photographed in Nagano, Tokyo, and Nagoya cities. This was a watermelon found on the side of the street. I believe a cat or something got to it because the outer edges were quite broken and raw.

Nagoya Photoshoot

Nagoya was fantastic! I had a great time pounding the pavement taking some street shots and visiting some great sights. I highly recommend Nagoya has a great photography destinations. This fall I plan to go a couple of times for some model shoots and perhaps a photography meet. If anyone is interested in meeting up or attending a photoshoot, please contact me. Enjoy!

Nagoya Castle Courtyard

This is one of my favorite shots of Nagoya Castle despite the sky being blown a bit. The weather was very warm, bright, and sunny. I was shooting around 2:00pm which is not good, but I had a polarizer on my lens and this helped quite a bit at capturing additional detail and color. I actually in this particular photo like the white background as it give the photo more of a portrait feel. It was not very busy as I visited on a Monday. I did go in the Castle and it was a great experience. By the way, I really felt like Nagoya Castle was kind of a date place for many couples. They were all over the place which was interesting I thought. For those that live in Japan, when you notice a dating place, you know what I mean…at least on this day I thought. Lots of fun.
