Taxi Japan!

Taxis are often found lined up along side of the road waiting for customers. In Nagano the taxis literally are in line waiting for the next client as you have to grab a taxi from the head of the line first. The drivers are very good about this and will usher you to the front if necessary. This may not be true in other parts of Japan like Tokyo, but here these guys definitely play fair.

This is the newly refurbished gateway to Zenkoji, Temple in Nagano City Japan. It was completed less than a month ago for the 2008 New Year Festivities. This year Zenkoji will probably attract more people than usual as the whole area will pretty much be redone by that time.
