Central Nagoya Castle is a variation of a previous shot I posted below but on a different side of the path. Again the sky was pretty white that day but I like how it contrasts with the color on the Castle roof. The photo is left with a sort of vintage feel which I like and hopefully adds to the historical aspect of the scene. I must mention that visiting Nagoya Castle on a very hot humid day could be brutal. Take lots of water and hat if you plan to visit here in August. It was a pretty cool day when I visited, but I still felt it was pretty hot in the area. Have fun!

As mentioned earlier, many of the flowers and shrubs I missed and so lots of things were withering, but this view I thought was very colorful and rich with green. This sort of setting was found all around the Castle grounds.

Sunshine Nagoya was found on a dirty street corner at the side of a busy intersection. It’s amazing what you find in unlikely areas. With everyone all around I got down on my knees as low as possible and snapped this little guy up as close with my 17-55mm. As I mentioned on some other photos, I am not a big flower buff, but I do like to photograph those that I think really stand out. It was a beautiful sunny day when I visited Nagoya and this flower has become a symbol of that visit for me.

This is one of my favorite shots of Nagoya Castle despite the sky being blown a bit. The weather was very warm, bright, and sunny. I was shooting around 2:00pm which is not good, but I had a polarizer on my lens and this helped quite a bit at capturing additional detail and color. I actually in this particular photo like the white background as it give the photo more of a portrait feel. It was not very busy as I visited on a Monday. I did go in the Castle and it was a great experience. By the way, I really felt like Nagoya Castle was kind of a date place for many couples. They were all over the place which was interesting I thought. For those that live in Japan, when you notice a dating place, you know what I mean…at least on this day I thought. Lots of fun.
